Project Overview
A cable tray system for Phase 1 of the Kuching Urban Transportation System, a modern urban rail transit development in the capital of Sarawak, Malaysia. The tropical climate presented persistent high humidity and elevated corrosion conditions across both indoor and outdoor installation areas, requiring a heavy-duty galvanized system capable of long-term performance without intensive maintenance in an operational transit environment.
Project Challenges
- Tropical high-humidity environment with elevated corrosion category (C4–C5)
- Strict compliance with client-approved drawings and project specifications
- Tight construction schedule requiring coordinated phased supply
- Installation efficiency demands across a large-scale transit infrastructure project
What We Delivered
A heavy-duty hot-dip galvanized cable tray system was supplied across the transit infrastructure, with corrosion protection specified to ISO 12944 C4–C5 to match the tropical operating environment. The system was produced in full compliance with client-approved drawings, eliminating field modification work and supporting the project’s installation schedule. Accessories were supplied as part of a complete package to reduce on-site coordination requirements during the construction phase.
